TOP-Innovator Award Ceremony with Ranga Yogeshwar

Honored at the German SME Summit: Ranga Yogeshwar honors MaxSolar GmbH on the occasion of its success in the TOP 100 innovation competition. The award ceremony at the Summit took place on Friday evening, June 24, in Frankfurt am Main for all SMEs that were awarded the TOP 100 seal at the beginning of the year. The science journalist is accompanying the innovation competition, which is being held for the 29th time, as a mentor. In the scientific selection process, MaxSolar was particularly convincing in the size category B (51 to 200 employees) in the category "Innovation Success". Elke Hanel, Chief Development Officer and authorized signatory at MaxSolar GmbH accepted the award from Ranga-Yogeshwar (picture).
The TOP 100 company portrait published on the occasion of the award states (excerpt):
MaxSolar plans, builds and optimizes photovoltaic and storage systems and develops charging infrastructure systems for electric cars. In the past two years alone, the Upper Bavarians have realized more than 260 projects across Europe, including the largest solar park in Austria. And in northern Bavaria, between Schweinfurt and Bamberg, green electricity is generated from solar energy on around 13 hectares with 23,000 high-performance modules - over 10 million watts every year for potentially 2,600 households in the region. This saves around 3,700 tons of CO2. What sets this photovoltaic system apart from others is the integrated battery storage technology MaxSolar has developed. At midday, when there is plenty of sunlight, excess electricity is stored. In the evening, when electricity demand is higher, it is fed back into the grid. "We use agricultural land that previously yielded too little and make it usable for CO2-free power generation," explains authorized signatory Elke Hanel. Residents can participate directly in the cooperatively organized project.
