Although the plant belongs to a private owner, 100% of the electricity generated still goes into the public grid. The municipality of Bernau am Chiemsee is thus making a major contribution to sustainability. Not only is photovoltaics one of the most important components in the energy turnaround, but thanks to this ground-mounted plant with a beautiful view of the Bavarian Sea, 700,000 kg of CO2 are saved every year. In order to continue to set a good example, the municipality of Bernau also had a municipal photovoltaic system installed on the town hall shortly afterwards.
